A collaboration of Main Street merchants has made Farmingdale Music on Main a reality this July and August.
Thursday nights in July and August are the time for all music lovers to visit Main Street in Farmingdale. Live performers will be entertaining the crowds along the street each of these evenings, playing a variety of music. Participating merchants will remain open during the event so everyone can dine and shop while enjoying the music. The band lineup will be announced before the start of the events.
Some vendors will also be on site each evening, but the organizers are not accepting any applications at this time. Contact the Farmingdale municipal office at 516-249-0093 to find out how to apply to be a vendor or distribute Promotional Products at future On the Green and Main Street events.
The event will stretch along Main Street from Prospect Street to Front Street. The road will be closed along this stretch on each of the event nights to make space available for the crowds, and to allow for dancing.
There is no admission fee to attend the concerts and free parking is available in some areas around Main Street. Visit the Facebook event page for a list of all available spots. Event dates are July 13, July 27, August 10, and August 24 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm each night.
