Farmingdale race to help local college association

Farmingdale State College will organize a race at the Nold Athletic Complex in April to raise money for its alumni association.

The Ram Run 5K is an event where people can compete for awards while supporting the Farmingdale State College Alumni Association. The course for the 5K will start and end on the university’s running track and take participants around the campus. Those who register for the college’s race will receive a fanny pack, T-shirt, and post-race refreshments. Runners who are old enough to drink may bring their bibs to the Changing Times restaurant for a complimentary beer.

The Farmingdale State College Alumni Association is an organization that helps graduates from Farmingdale State College develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with their peers. The association holds many events, such as the Golf Classic, President’s Gala, and Ram Reunion. The group also offers internships and programs to students. The alumni association’s current president is Chris Croken, and the vice presidents are Jenna Natale and Danielle Escalante.

The university’s 5K event will be held on April 7 and will begin at 9:00 am. Families can bring their children to the course at 8:30 for a free Kids Fun Run. The registration cost for the race is $25 per person, though the price will increase to $30 on the event day. Colleges that hold fundraising races similar to this may use poster printing services to help advertise the activities to their communities.
