The Nesting Place will be holding a preparation course in March to help Farmingdale couples get ready for childbirth.
The Childhood Preparation Course is a single-day workshop where soon to be mothers will learn about several important labor-related topics. The class will define the stages of labor and what to expect during each phase. Other lessons covered in the course are labor coping skills, when medical interventions are and are not necessary, and how to confidently communicate with care providers. The workshop will help demystify childbirth and reduce the fear and anxiety couples may feel during the experience.
The Nesting Place was created in 2019 to offer moms in Long Island a space to gather and connect. The organization provides mothers with helpful programs such as holistic health services, postpartum support groups, and activities for babies. The group holds many yearly events, like their yoga lessons and prenatal education sessions. Those who offer informational activities similar to these can advertise their functions using printing services.
The preparation workshop will be held on Saturday, March 6th from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Each couple will need to pay $125 to attend the course, and only eight couples will be allowed to participate. Mothers interested in the other programs offered by The Nesting Place can look at the organization’s Facebook calendar for information on upcoming activities.
