Farmingdale comedy night to fund local scholarships

The Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce will hold its yearly comedy night in October at the 317 Main Street Restaurant.

The Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce Annual Comedy Night is an event where people help raise money for Farmingdale High School’s scholarship fund while enjoying performances from three comedians.

The entertainers for the evening are Matt Burke, Carie Karavas, and Tim Krompier. Admission to the comedy show will include unlimited beverages, a buffet dinner, and dessert. People may also win raffle prizes during the fundraiser.

The Farmingdale Chamber is a non-profit group that serves Nassau and Suffolk Counties and local towns like Babylon and Oyster Bay. Those who become members of the organization can take part in exclusive networking events and monthly meetings with fellow Chamber members. People who go to the Chamber’s meetings can bring promotional materials to share with attendees. The group helps improve the community through beautification projects and offers members-only discounts.

The Chamber’s comedy fundraiser will be held on Thursday, October 13 from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Tickets may be purchased for $75, and guests do not have to be a member of the Chamber to attend. The venue will not sell admission at the door, so attendees must purchase their tickets in advance. Organizations that coordinate comedy nights such as this can use flyer printing to get more people interested in the experience.
