Farmingdale club to help aspiring entrepreneurs and inventors

The Long Island Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club will be holding a public meeting this August at Farmingdale State College.

Those interested in sharing their concepts with other like-minded individuals can attend a meeting held by the Long Island Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club. Each session is facilitated by professional inventor and speaker Brian Fried.

The club discusses a variety of topics every month, including intellectual property protections, manufacturing, distribution, and marketing. Meetings will feature a special presenter who will share their expertise on the month’s topic. People can bring Business Cards to the meeting to network with other aspiring inventors.

The organization was formed in 2018 when the Nassau and Suffolk County inventors clubs merged into a single entity. Every meeting is brought to the public by the Farmingdale Small Business Development Center, which assists entrepreneurs by offering network resources, advising, and education. There are showcases held by the group throughout the year that invites inventors to introduce their creations to fellow club members, the media, and potential investors.

The next meeting for the group will be held on Wednesday, August 12 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There is no fee for people to register or attend the club’s gatherings.
