Farmingdale Chamber to join womens networking session
The Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce is participating in a multi-Chamber Women in Business event this February.
The Farmingdale Chamber’s Mind Your Business Women’s Group is joining the Plainview-Old Bethpage Chamber’s Women’s Group for a networking session and presentation from Mondays Cancer Care, a local nonprofit. Chamber of Commerce members often use business card printing services to prepare for this type of networking event. Snacks will be available, and Mongo’s Coffee will be available for purchase in the library lobby before and during the event.
The executive director of Mondays, Karla Waldron, will speak about the organization’s mission and plans to expand its services throughout Nassau County. Mondays provides free beauty and wellness services to people receiving cancer treatment and aims to provide community along with help with the mental and physical side effects of treatment. The organization runs its own salon and partners with other salons and spas in the area to provide services like therapeutic massage, manicures and nutrition counseling.
The Multi-Chamber gathering is free, but those planning to attend are asked to sign up in advance. Farmingdale Chamber members can sign up on the Farmingdale Chamber’s website.
