The Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce is offering a flower arranging and networking session this fall.
Mind Your Business, the Chamber’s networking group for women, is hosting the event. Participants will learn how to create arrangements with in-season fall flowers. They will then move to Grexicana, a nearby restaurant, for food, drinks and networking. Chamber of Commerce members often use business card printing services to prepare for networking events.
Florists from In Full Bloom, a local floral shop that designs holiday bouquets as well as florals for weddings and other events, will teach the class. Grexicana is a Greek-Mexican fusion restaurant. It was opened last year by Kallie Pappas, a Greek woman with a Mexican partner, and serves a menu influenced by both cuisines, as well as a drinks menu that includes beers, wines and signature cocktails.
Those interested in attending can sign up on the Chamber’s website. The cost is $25 per person, which covers the floral arrangement class and all required materials. Attendees will pay for their own food and drinks at the restaurant. Mind Your Business regularly hosts events for female Chamber members, including a weekly Saturday morning walking club. Details and registration for these events are also available on the Chamber’s website.
The flower arranging class will take place on Tuesday, October 1 at 6:30 pm at In Full Bloom.
