Farmingdale celebrates annual Spring Street Fair and restaurant week

Residents of Farmingdale are in for a treat, it’s time for the annual Spring Street Fair sponsored by the Farmingdale Fire Department. The fair this week will also be held at the same time as the Farmingdale Restaurant week.

Local food, craft and

service vendors will be lining up the street for the Fire Departments’ Annual Spring Street Fair which will be held in front of the Fire Department at 361 Main St. and run to S. Front Street. Local residents will be able to shop, browse and obtain Flyers and pamphlets from the vendors for future shopping needs. There will be a variety of tents so there is sure to be something for everyone.

Restaurant week is another popular semi-annual event where participating restaurants will treat diners to dinner specials featuring a variety of 3 and 4 course dinners mostly in the $20 to $25 price range. A list of participating restaurants can be found on the Village of Farmingdale website.

Restaurants will likely announce their participation with Banners and Flyers encouraging those walking by to stop in and taste their dishes. It’s a great way to start the summer season and mingle with neighbors and friends.

The fair will take place on Sunday June 12th from 10:00am to 5:00pm. In the event of rain, the fair will move to June 26th.

Restaurant week runs from Monday, June 13th through Saturday, June 18th. Dinner specials are available from 5 pm each night. Seating on June 18th will be from 5-7pm. It is recommended that you contact your restaurant of choice to make a reservation as well as inquire about their specific special.
