The album, which he describes as a tribute to families and the little, under appreciated things in life, has been called “his best effort yet”.
Kubart is perhaps best known as the ‘Tambourine Guy’ from the viral project Postmodern Jukebox, but others may recognize him as the host of ‘Sunny Side Up’, a live show for preschool children, or for his wide variety of musical work both behind and in front of the camera.
Talking about his win, he said:
“This is awesome. Tomorrow, I think I may have to get up early and go to Disneyland.”
Kubart credits his parents and a volunteer gig at a New York City homeless shelter as his inspiration for spreading joy and kindness through music and performance, and he often recalls his time growing up in Farmingdale fondly. Indeed, though his face my adorn Flyers and Banners in downtown NYC, he still has time to play local birthday parties and teach toddler music classes.
His high demand led him to create ‘Tambourine Kids’, a program through which he personally trains teachers and entertainers to carry on his message of joy and happiness.
