Farmingdale art studio to host weekend creation series

The Vintage Canvas in Farmingdale is holding several open sessions that give people creative freedom in its studio.

Saturday Open Art is a series where fans of creating art can utilize a professional studio to make a work of art. There are several projects people may choose to do at the venue, such as watercolor painting or painting on ceramic pieces. Only one piece can be created per session. People may work independently on their projects or bring in a friend to assist them. All ages are allowed to take part in the weekend series, and each session will last for two hours.

The Vintage Canvas is an art studio owned by Ms. Raine that can be used by children and adults of all skill levels. The venue offers lessons during the school year and summer classes. Those 21 and up can take part in the studio’s Summer Paint and Sips series, which is a program that allows adults to work on art projects while enjoying alcohol they bring from home. The Vintage Canvas also hosts bridal showers, bachelorette parties, and corporate events.

The open art series will be held every Saturday until August 26th. Each session will take place from 10:00 am to noon, and the price for the program is $20.50. Businesses that offer weekly activities similar to this may use poster printing to advertise their future workshops to local consumers.
