The community can visit the Adventureland Amusement Park in Farmingdale this month to celebrate National Roller Coaster Day.
Fans of riding roller coasters will have an opportunity to ride Adventureland’s Turbulence, Rattlesnake, and Lady Bug coasters for free on National Roller Coaster Day. Those who attend the event must bring a donation to assist the Helping Hands Foundation. The organization is run by the amusement park and supports the community. New, unopened school supplies will be collected at the park and will go towards needy school districts.
The Adventureland Amusement Park works with multiple charitable groups each year, supporting organizations such as the March of Dimes, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the Boy Scouts of America. The park allows non-profit groups to host on-site fundraisers and have exclusive nights at the amusement park for members of the organization. Event organizers for charitable activities can use Print shops to make Flyers that advertise special occasions.
National Roller Coaster Day will be held on August 16th, and the theme park will start collecting donations from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. Typical single-day admission to the park will cost $33.99 per person.
Any charitable organizations interested in receiving support from Adventureland Amusement Park can mail a request for consideration. The public can also make financial contributions to the Helping Hands Foundation by donating online.
