To celebrating the Mexican holiday of Cinco De Mayo, Farmingdale will host the Drink’o De Mayo Bar Crawl this weekend.
Hosts will be in orange attire and will lead participants from one bar to the next along the Main Street in Farmingdale. Raffles and prizes will be part of the fun at the various stops.
Participants are expected to wear festive wear, and preferably Cinco De Mayo attire, so guests should expect to see plenty of sombreros.
The event is held to raise money for the MoRE organization. Motivational Recovery Environments provides funding for children with life-threatening illnesses, and gives them the opportunity to attend a camp for a week, which is designed to give the kids a chance to enjoy life without the focus on the illnesses.
Tickets can be purchased online with the option to include a sombrero. All participants must be 21 years of age or older. Establishments participating in the crawl include Nutty Irishmen, CaraCara, Last Call, Library Café, Croxleys, and the Wild Wild West Saloon.
