Annual expo returning to Long Island

Located halfway between Farmingdale and Huntington Station, the city of Melville will host the 6th Annual Special Needs Expo, which provides information on special needs resources for organizations and families.

Dozens of exhibitors will be on hand providing essential information and handing out Brochures and Flyers outlining their products and services. At this year’s expo, guests can visit the booths of businesses ad agencies such as Advantage Care Health Centers, Child Behavior Consulting, Good Samaritan Hospital, and Helping Hands Children Services. Various camps and educational centers will be on hand as well.

Attendees can register online either as individuals and groups. Those registering will be entered into a raffle for various prizes, including iPad minis and gift cards from Target.

Organizers have set up presentations and demonstrations with helpful information and will provide activities for children attending the expo. There will be opportunities to meet community agencies as well.

The event provides an environment that brings everyone together and will even make available a quiet room for anyone that needs a little downtime. For anyone who has a loved one with special needs, this event provides all the resources needed to help relieve some of the worries and provides an opportunity to speak with others in similar situations.

The event will take place this Sunday, April 23, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Long Island Hilton, 598 Broad Hollow Road in Melville.
