Annual car show returns to Bethpage next month

The Bethpage Credit Union Classic Car Show and Vendor Fair will be taking place this July.

It is presented by the Long Island Vettes and proceeds will go to benefit Last Hope Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation.

All makes and models of cars are welcome to compete for the 100 trophies that will be handed out at the end of the day. Fees are $15 in advance, or $20 on the day of the show; registration will begin at 7:00 AM.

There will also be a variety of arts and crafts vendors on hand, as well as food vendors. Musical entertainment will be provided by DJs from Party Train.

Last Hope Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation rescues dogs and cats that are in danger of being euthanized, and finds them new homes; they also provide awareness education, and trap feral cats in order to spay or neuter them.

The car show should attract people from all over the area, including those from nearby Farmingdale. Organizers may decide to invest in flyer printing to help spread the word and to encourage more people to show their cars.

The Classic Car Show and Vendor Fair will take place at Bethpage Credit Union on July 12 from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM; the rain date is July 19. Admission is free. For more information about attending or registering a car, contact Steve Daidone at 516-724-0719.
