Fall fitness competition in Clifton Park

The Harvest Hustle Challenge, a community fitness contest, will be held next month in Clifton Park.

The city's Parks and Recreation Department and its business partners will set up a fitness course designed for all ages and abilities, from dedicated athletes to casual fitness enthusiasts.

Competitors will be able to prove their speed, stamina and strength on the dynamic course. It will begin with a one-mile run followed by stops at exercise zones under the guidance of fitness experts from local gyms.

Businesses that take part in outdoor events such as this often use banner printing to draw attention to their services.

Harvest Hustle participants will be divided into age divisions, which are 8 to 12, 13 to 17, 18 to 39, and 40 and over. Groups of runners will start in timed 10-minute intervals to keep the course moving safely and smoothly. Organizers expect to create a spirited family atmosphere with music and friendly competition.

The Clifton Park Harvest Hustle Challenge will be held on Saturday, September 26 at Towne Center Park. The first wave of competitors will begin the course at 9:00 am with the final waves commencing at 11:30 am. Registration fees are $10 for ages 17 and under and $20 for those ages 18 and older. Athletes can sign up and read more about the event on the parks and recreation website.
