Clifton Park YMCA program to benefit from pickleball fundraiser

The Southern Saratoga YMCA will present Dinks to Donate next month as a fundraiser for Running Start, which is the organization’s back-to-school support program.

Monies raised for Running Start will benefit area children by allowing them the chance to shop for new clothes and supplies so they can return to school with everything they need.

Pickleball players of any age can get involved in the event by dinking balls into buckets to win prizes. Participants will be able to purchase 10 balls for $10, 30 balls for $25 or receive 100 balls for $75. A community celebratory afternoon barbecue will follow.

In pickleball, a dink is a strategic soft shot just over the net into the area known as the kitchen where the ball has to bounce before being returned. It is intended to cause opponents to make mistakes.

The YMCA in Clifton Park has recently been renovated and expanded and boasts a large array of first-class recreational and leisure amenities. Both indoor and outdoor pickleball courts are available for regular play, workshops and tournaments.

Organizations like the YMCA often use poster printing to advertise their upcoming programs and services.

Dinks to Donate will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 11 am to 2 pm at the YMCA Clifton Park - Southern Saratoga, 1 Wall Street. Further information is available on the YMCA website.
