Family education about public safety will highlight National Night Out in Clifton Park next month.
Presented by the Town of Clifton Park, the event will bring together residents of the community and first responders with the aim of increasing the relationships between them.
National Night Out is a community-building event that each August attracts millions of people nationwide. It was first held in 1984 in 400 communities across 23 states and has since grown to involve 17,000 communities in all 50 states, territories and military bases worldwide.
In Clifton Park, firefighters and emergency services personnel will be on hand to meet the public and offer information about the services they provide. Exhibits will feature educational resources on emergency preparedness and safety guidance. The police K9 team will showcase their skills in a live demonstration and the community fire prevention bus, which serves as a mobile classroom, will be on hand.
Families can listen to the sounds of live music by Grama Tippie Toes and Big Sky Country and enjoy refreshments from attending food trucks.
Local governments often use poster printing to get the word out about community events such as this.
National Night Out in Clifton Park will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 5 pm to 8 pm at Clifton Commons recreational park. The event is open to all ages and there will be no cost to attend.
