The communities of Sarasota County will come together next month for the Sarasota County Fair near Clifton Park.
Presented by the Sarasota Agricultural Society, the annual fair in Ballston Spa has been known to attract as many as 100,000 over the week-long celebration and is one of the oldest fairs in the state.
Highlights of the fair will include agricultural exhibits and competitions, rodeos, demonstrations, a large range of midway rides, tractor pulls, live entertainment, the fair pageant and more.
One of the returning special events will be Niagara Down Under, a hands-on animal exhibit and educational activity. Animal lovers can pet and snap photos with visiting kangaroos, wallabies, tortoises and other exotic animals.
Guests who are looking for a little more action can enjoy the demolition derby. Presented by JM Motorsport Productions, as many as 50 cars will take part in the derby over nine events, with more than $1600 in prize money handed out. Another large fair event will be the North America six-horse hitch competition, featuring the power and agility of 2000-pound harnessed horses pulling 3000-pound wagons.
Concession vendors will be on hand throughout the fair offering refreshments. Merchants who set up at large fairs such as this often use flyer printing to outline their food and beverage menu.
The Saratoga County Fair will be held July 21 to 26, 2026, at the Saratoga County fairgrounds in Ballston Spa, just north of Clifton Park.
