The Town of Clifton Park will host an evening of safety-themed family activities as part of National Night Out.
The countrywide program is a campaign that strengthens connections between law enforcement and the community. Held in thousands of communities across America, generally on the first Tuesday in August, National Night Out includes neighborhood block parties, parades, exhibits, safety demonstrations, and more.
Presented by the Parks and Recreation Department, the Clifton Park event celebrates first responders and hometown heroes. Public safety education will include information on emergency preparedness as well as displays that showcase police, fire and EMS vehicles and equipment.
The free special event will also feature demonstrations by police dogs and the opportunity for the public to meet fire and police officials in a casual atmosphere.
Families can take part in the Free Throw Basketball Clinic, which will include both instruction and friendly competition. Local coaches will provide participants of all ages and skill levels with tips on improving their game. A limited number of event T-Shirts will be available.
There will be a live music concert by Big Sky Country and attendees can enjoy refreshments from the on-site food trucks. Mobile restaurant owners such as these often use printing services to create their food Posters and Menus.
National Night Out in Clifton Park will be held August 5, 2025 beginning at 5 pm at Clifton Common.
