Jazz festival to return to Carson City

Carson City will host its annual Jazz & Beyond Music & Art Festival next month. The festival will run for most of August, providing the city with a bevy of performances throughout the month.

The event will begin with a party themed on the Roaring Twenties. Guests have the choice to wear period-appropriate clothing while enjoying a night of food, drinks, and music. As the festival continues, locals can expect performances of jazz and other blues-inspired music like rock, hip-hop, and soul. Some concerts to expect include the “Urban Renewal Project” and “Musicole.” These performances feature local and national talent like Lacy J. Dalton and the Sagebrush Rebels.

Organizers will also prepare studio tours across 11 different locations. These tours will give guests a chance to observe art and listen to live performances. Some tour locations include the Nevada Artists Association and Bliss Mansion. The festival is also partnering with the Nevada State Museum to give a series of lectures on music from the 1920s.

The festival will finish with a final concert that features outside performances at the Legislative Plaza and Capital Amphitheater. When the festival date comes closer, these events usually employ brochure printing to provide more information.

The festival will begin on August 13 and will run until August 29. The event’s webpage has dates for performances and other activities.
