Entrepreneur to explain basics of starting business

SCORE, a network of small business mentors, is organizing a workshop for starting a business in November. The workshop is open to the public, and anyone can register.

The event is headed by Carl Gerhardt, an entrepreneur with 30 years of experience. Gerhardt possesses extensive history with setting up businesses, having grown his start-up into a profitable effort. Throughout his career, Gerhardt has also helped small business owners expand their operations.

At the workshop, Gerhardt will go over the basics of starting a business. Some topics to expect include finding opportunities, planning, financing, and marketing. Additionally, the workshop will explore reasons for starting or not starting a new business. By the end of the workshop, attendees should have a clearer idea of whether they should immediately set up a business or delay the decision.

The workshop will be in-person and will take place in Carson City. For events like these, Business Cards can help facilitate exchanges between attendees, organizers, and the presenter. SCORE also hosts other workshops throughout the year, both online and offline.

This event will happen on November 13th between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM. Registration to the workshop is free and can be done online. It will take place at Adams Hub located at 111 West Proctor Street.
