Regional government managers of Carson City and surrounding counties will address the public as panelists at the 2025 Annual State of the County.
The January discussion will focus on the economies of the counties, recent progress and developments, as well as any difficulties facing communities in the area.
It’s an opportunity for business owners, groups, and individual residents to get a first-hand account of not only completed improvements but also how they may be affected by future plans.
The event will be presented by the Northern Nevada Development Authority (NNDA), the Sierra region’s designated development authority which operates as a non-profit organization. Created in 1981, the NNDA, provides resources to businesses as part of its ongoing mission to “influence, facilitate and support the ongoing growth and prosperity” of the region.
The NNDA hosts a variety of functions throughout the year, including the Business Edge, a series of informative breakfast networking events where a range of business and government stakeholders gather to learn the latest on topics such as energy, technology and manufacturing.
Representatives of Carson City, Story County, and Mineral County will be included on the upcoming speakers' panel. Organizations that host these types of public events often use printing services to create hand-out materials to augment the presentation.
The State of the County forum will be held on January 30, 2025 from 7 am to 10 am at the Carson Valley Inn Casino.
