An upcoming event in Carson City will celebrate the state’s entry into the United States.
On October 31st of 1864, Nevada joined the US, becoming the 36th state to enter the Union. Nevada Day is a longstanding tradition that celebrates this historic day, and it has been held in Carson City for the past 83 years.
For this year’s festival, the theme will be historic moments. Event organizers hope to recognize some of the state’s most important moments from past to present. Various activities will also be prepared for spectators to enjoy; these include a grand ball, pancake breakfast, and art exhibits. Locals can also catch a sight of this year’s parade, which will feature over 200 floats as it marches through downtown.
Organizers are looking for vendors, so anyone interested in selling their goods can sign up online. For events like these, Business Cards can be effective for establishing partnerships between organizers and vendors
Nevada Day will begin at 8:00 AM on Saturday, October 30. Entry to the event will be free, but organizers recommend bringing money if locals plan to visit any of the vendors. Most of the day’s festivities will be concentrated downtown, with the parade marching through Carson Street. It will start at William Street and come to an end on Stewart Street.
