A Carson City area community hosts a yearly celebration for the public, and 2022 will be the 103rd Anniversary of this popular activity.
The Genoa City Candy Dance, which is held in Genoa, is a combination of a dinner and dance as well as a vendor fair, and area crafters will also be given a chance to shine. A variety of local businesses have already signed on to support what is set to be a family-oriented celebration.
The agenda for the occasion, which will run for two days, is filled with games, a juried market with more than 300 arts and crafts booths, candy samples, a food festival and also a dinner and dance. A shuttle bus service will be available, and the kids will be able to enjoy the fun on offer just for them.
It was noted that while the festivities may not be taking place for several months, the organizers have put out a call for both volunteers, vendors, and sponsors. Print shops will be able to prepare attention-grabbing booth decor which may be helpful in taking full advantage of a pop-up market.
