The popular, three-dimensional traveling exhibit goes beyond the traditional museum experience to deliver something more. Worldwide more than 2.5 million tickets have been sold. Art historian Fanny Curtat explained the upcoming show’s appeal this way:
“A museum is always great; you have the magic of an original. There’s nothing quite like it. But a lot of people are intimidated by museums and this is a great way to access the art world in a different way.”
Elaborating, Curtat pointed out that that the exhibit was particularly good for families with children because they were free to run about throughout the space and be totally immersed in it. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience more than 300 4K projections of Vincent Van Gohg’s paintings among which will be favorites such as “Café Terrace at Night”, “Sunflowers”, and “The Starry Night.”
A banner printing service can prove helpful in marking an event’s location for attendees.
The exhibit opens March 2 and already crews are hard at work at the Immersive Pavilion on Bellamah Avenue setting up projectors in preparation. Tickets sales started the last week of January for the exhibit, which runs from March 2 through May 1. Full price tickets are $40 and children’s admission will be $24.
