State fair returns to Albuquerque
Albuquerque will once again host the New Mexico State Fair at the Expo New Mexico this September.
The fair represents a huge cultural celebration for many locals, offering regional food, contests, and agricultural-based activities, all as part of a tradition carried since 1938. The New Mexico State Fair is also the state’s largest event, as it draws over half a million people each year, and it goes on for well over a week.
Some of the performers at the fair this year will include Wynonna Judd, Cypress Hill, Grupo Marca Registrada, and Clay Walker. Other activities throughout the multi-day event include a sorting competition, dressage shows and clinics, dog shows, dairy farm events, an educational experience with a giant snake, a petting zoo, a kids’ bungee jump, a mechanical bull, a demonstration with wood carvers, a duck race, a pig race, and a steel drum band.
Fairs like this may choose to use graphic design for vendor signage, website promotion, or social media.
The New Mexico State Fair is happening from Thursday, September 4 to Sunday, September 14 at Expo New Mexico at 300 San Pedro Dr. NE in Albuquerque. Tickets, which can be purchased online, cost $15 for adults, or $10 for children aged 6 to 12 and senior citizens. Children aged five and under may enter free of charge.
