Albuquerque’s Sunshine Theater is hosting a concert by Rival Sons this November.
This is all part of the Grammy-nominated California rock band’s Domestic Bliss Tour through 24 stops in the U.S. this fall, which includes supporting acts The Blue Stones, from Canada, and Colorado’s The Velveteers.
Rival Sons lead singer Jay Buchanan is coming off career milestones including a recently released solo project, Weapons of Beauty, and a supporting role in the Bruce Springsteen biopic film “Deliver Me From Nowhere.”
Buchanan recently took a three-month respite in the Mojave Desert to help get the creative juices flowing with his solo work. In fact, the circuit of shows represents the band’s first domestic tour in two album cycles.
After releasing two full-length albums in 2023, Darkfighter and Lightbringer, Rival Sons is now working on its next album, expected to come out some time in 2027.
In 2019, Rival Sons received two Grammy nominations for Best Rock Album and Best Rock Performance for the song “Too Bad.”

Rival Sons with The Blue Stones and The Velveteers for the Domestic Bliss Tour is happening on Saturday, November 7 at 7:30 pm at the Sunshine Theater at 120 Central Ave in Albuquerque.
