Early fall has arrived in Albuquerque, and that means there is an expectation of an increase in the number of UFO sightings in the city and throughout the state.
The reason behind this is not an alien invasion, but rather something much more benign – a launch of balloons by NASA.
Parl Garver is the head of MUFON, which is the oldest and largest group in the nation that investigates UFOs. He fully expects that the organization will be getting a lot of reports of strange objects in the sky throughout September and October. He noted that, to someone who has not seen them before and does not know what they are, they can appear to be quite unusual.
Garver further explained that they can look white, silver, or other colors; depending on the atmosphere’s conditions, they can even appear in shades of red or orange. They are also quite large. Residents of Albuquerque who wish to see them have the greatest chance of doing so if they look to the east on a clear evening this month.
The state of New Mexico is well known as a “hotspot” for alien sightings, and a printer can include them in the ad specialties it creates to endorse the area.
The balloons will be launched by NASA’s Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility, and they will be used in a variety of research ranging from what is going on in the Earth’s atmosphere, to the beginnings of the universe.
