A new exhibit celebrating everything that makes Albuquerque special is set to open this coming spring.
Housed in the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History, it will feature a variety of exhibits and artefacts form the city and surrounding area, and is laid out in a design intended to resemble a wheel. The hub will contain the central gallery for the displays, and will be open and airy, with its celling painted a turquoise blue reminiscent of the sky. The different spokes of the wheel will each be filled with a variety of items centered on a particular theme.
One of the items available for viewing will be the original tapestry made of velvet and silk that shows the coat of arms of Fernández de la Cueva Enriquéz, who was the 10th Duke of Albuquerque in Spain and after whom the city is named. Visitors will be able to create their own coat of arms at one of the computers using specially designed computer software. Video booths will also be set up to allow guests to tell their own personal stories about the city.
This kind of special event can not only be a draw to the museum, but can also help to build civic pride for city residents. A poster printing company can produce Posters for sale to those who come out to see the exhibit.
Set to open in March of this year, the admission price for the exhibit will be between $1 and $4, and more information can be obtained by contacting the museum or visiting its website.Get a Free Quote for Posters
