March Madness Flower Show continues at ABQ BioPark

The flower show at ABQ BioPark is a yearly event showcasing a variety of flowers and blooming plants.

The show takes place in the Mediterranean Conservatory, which simulates a coastal environment. These environments include such areas as the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, southwestern Australia, the California coast, coastal Chile, and South Africa. Due to the vast geographic regions this conservatory represents, there is a wide variety of plants inside. There are trees such as olive and bottlebrush, bushes and herbs like mint and sage, and flowers including snapdragons, firecracker flowers, bromeliads, and anthurium.

This flower show is included with the price of admission to the botanic gardens. Guests can also enjoy the other attractions of the gardens, including the walled gardens, the desert conservatory, and the Japanese garden, among many others. Visitors may want to wear layers – the weather outside will not affect the temperature in the Mediterranean Conservatory.

Events like this often use banner printing to help advertise, as the BioPark is already a known attraction in the area. There is free parking available at the botanic garden’s facility. Guests should keep in mind that the botanic gardens close at 4:30 pm. The flower show will continue through the end of the month; March 31 is the last day for Albuquerque to see this special display.
