Hip hop legend visits Albuquerque

Anonymous Productions is bringing KRS-One to perform in Albuquerque in March.

KRS-One made his rap debut with Boogie Down Productions in 1986, partnering with DJ Scott La Rock on the hit tune "South Bronx." This was a watershed event in hip hop's history, as KRS-One, an abbreviation for "Knowledge Reigning Supreme," underscored the genre's importance as more than just a musical genre.

A widely accepted legend of the genre, KRS-One is regarded by Rolling Stone as the "conscience of hip hop" and "the greatest live emcee ever" by The Source. With a catalog spanning 20 albums and countless collaborations, he is known for hits such as “Sound of da Police” and “MC’s Act Like They Don’t Know”, which are likely to be performed at his upcoming concert. Flyer printing could be used to share information of an upcoming concert such as this within the local community.

Beyond his musical accomplishments, KRS-One has lectured at over 500 colleges, written a number of Books, and was instrumental in founding projects such as the Stop The Violence Movement. Furthermore, he was influential in the universal recognition of hip hop at the United Nations in 2001.

Alburquerque audiences are now being invited to enjoy the artist for what he’s best known for – his music. The show is scheduled for Saturday, March 2 at Sister, located at 407 Central Ave NW in Albuquerque.
