The new store will be at 197 S. New Hope Road in the Akers Shopping Center. Encompassing 50,000 sq. ft, the store is expected to open on March 7. On that same day, the company will be opening another store of the same size at Greensboro's Landmark Crossing.
With the opening of the Gastonia and Greensboro facilities, there will be 47 Gabe’s stores operated by Gabriel Brothers. Each of the two new stores, which have grown into larger locations from the two Rugged Wearhouse stores they replaced, will require 170 employees to fill a variety of positions.

The new stores will offer an expanded selection of home goods, Apparel, footwear. and accessories. Ken Seipel, the company’s CEO, noted in a press release that Gabriel Brothers has a good understanding of the region from having operated roughly 20 Rugged Wearhouse locations in the state. He said:

The Gastonia Conference Center will be site of a hiring event 9:00 am to 7:00 pm on February 4, and 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on February 5.
