Gastonia to host celebration of Americas birthday

Gastonia is rolling out the red, white, and blue for a spectacular Independence Day celebration.

Starting at 5:00 p.m., the fun kicks off with live music, delicious food, and family-friendly activities that will keep everyone entertained until the grand finale. There will be a lively beer garden, a variety of food trucks, local vendors, and a dedicated KidsZone packed with games and activities for the little ones.

Music lovers can look forward to an unforgettable lineup. Tarce Casanova takes the stage at 5:00 p.m., followed by the high-energy Bantum Rooster Band at 6:00 p.m., who will play throughout the evening. People are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair, spread out on the grass, and enjoy the festive atmosphere.

A bustling marketplace of vendors will open at 5:00 p.m. and run all evening. Competitive eaters can test their skills in the Watermelon Eating Contest from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. and the Apple Pie Eating Contest from 8:00 to 8:30 p.m.

The night will close with a spectacular fireworks display at 9:30 p.m., synchronized to a soundtrack of pre-recorded patriotic favorites.

This celebration will be on Saturday, July 4 at the Rotary Centennial Pavilion on North South Street. Poster printing can be used to highlight and promote such special celebratory events throughout a city and neighboring communities.
