Construction has begun on the new CaroMont Cancer Center on the campus of CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. The facility spans 125,000 square feet and is the second largest investment in the history of CaroMont Health, which is planning to spend $200 million in oncology care.
The new facility will bring together physician practices, imaging and diagnostics, radiation therapy, medical oncology, pharmacy, laboratory, and supportive care services in a single environment. The facility will double the oncology capacity of CaroMont Health and will be able to serve approximately 3,000 new cancer patients each year across Gaston County and surrounding communities.
The CaroMont Cancer Center was intentionally designed to reduce the fragmentation and complexity that patients often face during cancer care. By bringing together essential services into one modern, purpose-built facility, the center eases the burden on patients and their families, simplifies navigation, and fosters a supportive environment for healing throughout every stage of treatment.
The facility will feature leading programs for the five most common cancers in the region— colorectal, lung, breast, prostate, and gynecologic—along with expanded offerings such as radiopharmaceuticals, brachytherapy, and enhanced screening services. Every aspect of the center has been thoughtfully planned to meet current needs while remaining flexible for future advancements in cancer therapies and care standards.
Brochure printing can be used to provide more details on such new facilities and their services.
