The Gastonia East Rotary Club and the city of Gastonia are partnering to host the annual summer concert series.
This is the ninth year that these concerts are being held. Such concert series are often promoted throughout a city and surrounding communities with flyer printing.
The purpose of the summer concert series is to showcase talent in the area and to attract visitors and residents to downtown Gastonia. All concerts are held at the Rotary Pavilion. Each concert has a play area for children, food trucks, and other vendors.
Local charities in Gastonia are supported by proceeds from the concerts, which also support local economic development. The many years of the concert series have enabled the Gastonia East Rotary to donate over $200,000 to local charities in support of the community of Gastonia.
Parking is available at several parking lots near the Pavilion. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to listen to the concerts.
All concerts run from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and are on the third Friday of the month. On June 21, On the Border - The Ultimate Eagles Tribute Band will be performing with Bailey Marie Griggs.
July 19 will be Kids in America! with the Ben Gatlin Band.
August 16 will feature Caleb Davis with Garrett Huffman.
All concerts are free and open to the public.
