The Classic Arcade and Pinball Museum is now open in Gastonia.
Located on Union Road, the museum enables visitors to play close to 80 games that span the years from the mid-1960s to some of the latest offerings of today.
The owner of the museum, Jim Connolly, said that he wants visitors to be able to enjoy their time at the museum playing these games.
Connolly said that he has been collecting these games for many years, starting with a small collection at home. He added that he tried to offer games that are not easily duplicated on a home game console, like driving games and pinball. In addition, he said that the museum will change monthly, offering games that people may not have seen previously.
The entry fee for the museum is $14.99, which provides each visitor with a wristband to be able to play games for an entire day, and come in and out of the museum as they please. The museum also has a concession stand that offers hot dogs, pizza, nachos, and soft drinks.
Flyer printing is often used to promote such new attractions in town and their unique offerings.
The hours for the museum are 11:00am to 9:00pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 11:00am to 10:00pm on Fridays, 10:00am to 10:00pm on Saturdays, and 10:00am to 9:00pm on Sundays. It can be found at 3210 Union Road, Gastonia.
