The Denim and Diamonds Gala event will take place at the Jon Walker Stables’ indoor arena in November, to benefit Victory Farms Inc.
Following last year’s inaugural Denim and Diamond Gala, which attracted 200 attendees, the organizers had no second thoughts about their decision to make it an annual event. Once again a horse barn will transform into an entertainment filled venue with live music, a dance floor, silent and live auctions and food.
The beneficiary of the event, Victory Farm, is a riding program designed for special needs individuals. The majority of the horses used are rescued or rehabilitated and both volunteers and horses are trained to work alongside all age groups with varying degrees of disabilities.
Victory Farms relies solely on grants, donations and fundraisers for operating expenses. All money taken in goes to rehabilitating riders and horses; all staffing is supplied by volunteers.
Fulfilling its mission to improve the quality of life for disabled individuals by strengthening their minds, bodies and spirits through working with horses requires getting the word out about the program. A brochure printing service can assist in informing both those who can benefit from the program as well as those who might like to provide either financial support or volunteer.
The Denim and Diamonds event takes place on Saturday, November 7 at 6:30 pm at Jon Walker Stables in Gastonia.
