The Dallas Mayfair on the Square festival is taking place next month. It is presented by Gaston College and the Gaston County Museum.
This event is a celebration of both Armed Forces and Memorial Day.
A range of activities planned is for the day that should appeal to the entire family. The Dallas Optimist Car Show will be held on Main Street from noon until 3:00 pm and will feature cars from 1984 and earlier. There will also be live musical and storytelling entertainment, a kids' Fun Zone and carriage rides.
The Gaston County Museum will feature the grand opening of an exhibit on World War I. There is also set to be a Niantic Labs Ingress Mission Day event for gaming fans.
Vendors will be on hand to sell craft items and general merchandise, and local community organizations will be providing information about their services and programs. Organizers are accepting vendor applications until May 9.
Many of the vendors may invest in flyer printing services to let their customers from all over the area, including Gastonia, know about the festival.
Dallas Mayfair on the Square will take place on May 21 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Admission is free of charge. To learn more about this event, or to become a vendor, contact Jason Luker at 704-922-7681.
