The annual Cherry Blossom Festival is returning to nearby Cherryville this April for two days. It is the 27th year this event has taken place, and it is hosted by the Cherryville Chamber of Commerce.
The festival will kick-off with a 5K Race on Main Street on April 22, beginning at 6:00 pm. This will be followed by a concert by a yet-to-be-named musical group.
The main bulk of the festival takes place on the Saturday, and will feature a variety of events that will appeal to everyone in the family. For the children, there will be games, inflatables, puppet shows, craft activities, clowns, and an appearance by Little Blue Choo. An antique truck and car show is set to take place at the C. Grier Beam Truck Museum from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. Later on, the Little Miss Cherry Blossom Festival Pageant will be held at the Community Building.
In addition, vendors will be selling arts and crafts and commercial merchandise. Booths are still available for various prices ranging from $50 to $70.
No doubt visitors from the area, including those from Gastonia, will want to know about this upcoming event. Organizers may invest in Mailing services to get the word out in the community.
