The Greater Durham Black Chamber of Commerce extends a public invitation to the Annual Black Business Gala, serving as the inaugural event for the 2024 Black Business Week.
The gala aims to spotlight and honor notable individuals and businesses, recognizing their significant contributions to business achievements in Durham. Poster printing could be used to share more information about upcoming events.
In acknowledgment of outstanding accomplishments, the 2024 Black Business Gala will bestow the titles of Woman of the Year to Phyllis Coley and Man of the Year to Dr. Jeffrey Scales. Notable businesses will also be recognized, with Marsh's Rentals being named the 2024 Emerging Business of the Year, and Hayti Reborn - Justice Movement receiving the title of 2024 Community Organization of the Year.
The gala also serves as a platform for the announcement of the recipients of the 2024 Connia Watson Scholarship Awards, highlighting the achievements of two exceptional high school seniors.
Beyond attendance, support for honorees and scholarship recipients is encouraged through various avenues, including purchasing advertisements in the Souvenir Booklet, exploring partnership and sponsorship opportunities, or making direct donations.
