Asheville-based Hi-Wire Brewing has recently made it known that Durham will be the location of the company’s third taproom, which will go by the name ‘Durham Fun Zone’.
Following the success of Hi-Wire’s two Asheville taprooms, there are high expectations for the Durham taproom that will open later this year. The Durham Fun Zone will be the Brewery’s largest taproom to date with 8,844 square feet of inside space and an additional 1,678 square feet outside, divided up between a beer garden and covered patio.
While its Ashville facilities are focused on production, the taproom will be front and center in Durham, although space has been set aside for a potential pilot brewing system down the road. In addition to Hi-Wire brews, the Durham taproom will have soccer pool tables, table tennis, and full-sized shuffleboard courts, as well as rotating Durham- and Raleigh-based food trucks.
Hi-Wire owners, Adam Charnack and Chris Frosaker are hoping to open their Durham taproom, located at Golden Belt campus, 800 Taylor Street, in October of this year. This will leave plenty of time to order and receive any Letterheads, Business Cards, or flyer printing they may require.
Durham Fun Zone will have 24 taps dispensing the company’s full year-round beer line-up as well as its seasonal beers. Patrons can also enjoy wines, guest taps for local breweries and local ciders.
