Quilt-making course for children held in Clinton
The Kids Quilt Summer Camp is an upcoming quilt-making course for children who are nine years old and up, hosted by Ann’s Sew-N-Vac.
Each student will make a medium-sized quilt during the multi-day course. This includes learning the basics of guilt piecing, construction and other techniques.
Each student will receive a snack for each day of the course. In addition, the students will have the opportunity to borrow a sewing machine or bring their own with advanced notice.
This comes as Ann’s Sew-N-Vac hosts other classes this summer for children, including one with a focus on embroidery in which children will make their own 15” doll and dress.
Sew-N-Vac is a store that sells appliances, furniture and sewing machines. However, they also regularly host classes. The classes, serving numerous cities in the area, are made for people of all skill levels. Other class topics have included garment construction, sewing fundamentals and tailoring techniques.
Providing both the materials and equipment for the classes, each course is taught by people with years of experience in the field of textile arts.
Sewing classes like this may choose to use printing services to create promotional materials or informational sheets.
The Kids Quilt Summer Camp is happening from July 14-18, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. each day at Ann’s Sew-N-Vac at 360 Faison Hwy in Clinton.
