Clinton hosts agricultural celebration

Sampson County Ag Day 2026 is coming to Clinton this March.

Representing Sampson County’s leading industry, the forthcoming festival celebrates agriculture alongside America’s 250th Birthday in 2026.

Featuring child-friendly entertainment options, meal vendors and local businesses, the festival is also peppered with the sounds of live music by bands such as Joyner and Friends, Chocolate Chip and Company, and The Martin Davis Band.

The free event also features static tractor displays, farm exhibits, local artisans, hands-on activities, pony rides and confectionery snacks.

Thousands of people are expected to show up for the celebration, which is a years-long biennial tradition in Sampson County. The Sampson Community College, co-hosting the event, represents a new partnership for 2026.

While the main event will still take place in its traditional location of the NC Cooperative Extension - Sampson County Center, Sampson Community College will bring more space for exhibits, food trucks, entertainment and even more parking options.

A farm barrel train towed by a tractor, anthropomorphic fruit and vegetable mascots, children’s mini tractors, mechanical bull-riding, a petting zoo with rabbits and educational experiences are all the familiar favorites expected to make a return to this year’s festival.

Community celebrations like this may choose to use banner printing to create Signs for activity areas and vendor stations.

Sampson County Ag Day is happening on March 21 from 10 am to 4 pm at Sampson Community College at 1801 Sunset Ave in Clinton.
