The Clinton Square Fair is set to transform the city’s downtown strip into a two-day festival this fall.
With stage performances, local makers selling handmade goods, food vendors and music, this family-friendly event is free for all.
One of the festival’s signature offerings is locally made, award-winning barbecue via the annual Clinton Square Fair Barbecue Cook-Off. Teams compete for cash prizes for the best BBQ in all of Eastern North Carolina, with contestants also having the option of selling their food to festivalgoers.
Other, non-BBQ food vendors from local eateries will also be available, offering meals and snacks for purchase.
Festivals like this may choose to use Print shops to create barbecue food labels, vendor Signs and promotional Posters.
The festivities begin on Friday, October 9, with a Kick-Off Concert by Liquid Pleasure, a local beach music band, performing in downtown Clinton from 6 pm to 8:45 pm.
Then on Saturday, October 10, the Clinton Square Fair proper will be held from 10 am to 3 pm in downtown Clinton. The event includes not only the BBQ contest, but children’s activities, a classic car show, local exhibits and shopping opportunities with downtown businesses.
Welcoming to North Carolinians from all over the state, the Clinton Square Fair is set to take place in Historic Downtown Clinton in the blocks surrounding the historic Sampson County Court House, with free street parking available.
