Clinton hosts clean comedy show for adults

Clinton’s JC Holiday Library will host a clean stand-up comedy show for adults this March.

For people who like to laugh but don’t like profanity, comedians Andy Beningo and Bill Douglas deliver just that. They are co-headlining the event, which takes place in the early afternoon.

Douglas is a middle school science teacher for his day job, drawing from his observations as an instructor. He also delves into his personal life as a married man with children, sharing relatable stories such as travel mix-ups.

After beginning stand-up comedy in 2018, Douglas has quickly made a name for himself. He has performed at comedy festivals in 37 states across the country so far.

Known for his “Date Night” routine, Beningo puts family front and center in his act. He touches upon what it’s like to be in a relationship, having kids and navigating the ups and downs of those experiences.

Beningo has toured extensively in Canada and on cruise ships, the latter of which he said has its own unique challenges. As the comedian explained in a recent interview, it can sometimes be awkward living aboard the same vessel as his audience.

Comedy events like this may choose to use poster printing to create low-cost promotional material or venue Signs.

The Stand Up Comedy - Adult Clean Show is happening on March 3 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the JC Holiday Library at 217 Graham St in Clinton.
