CPR and first aid class comes to Clinton

Clinton is hosting a CRP and First Aid Training event at the Sampson County Partnership for Children this July.

For those who complete the training, which costs $50, it includes a certificate to meet qualifications for work in childcare.

The event is hosted by the Sampson County Partnership for Children (SCPFC), which is a non-profit organization serving children ages 5 and younger in collaboration with Sampson County through various community programs.

Early childhood education and childcare are some of the main focuses of SCPFC. Through federal, state and private funding, the programs are designed to provide teacher education, access to child health services and generally prepare children for grade school.

SCPFC programs include the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, the Parents As Teachers Program and the North Carolina Pre-Kindergarten Program.

CPR stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It is a procedure used in emergencies to help save lives. Performed when a person’s heart stops beating, CPR can more than double the chances of a patient surviving following a cardiac arrest, according to the American Heart Association.

When performed correctly, CPR minimizes the damage to internal organs by keeping the blood flowing to the rest of the body during a cardiac arrest.

CPR events like this may choose to use Stationery printing to create instruction sheets and class agendas.

The CPR and First Aid Training event is happening on July 18 at 7 am at 211 West Main St in Covina.
