Annual race event returns to Clinton
Clinton will once again welcome the yearly event known as the Sampson Shuffle, a 5K race and 1-mile fun run hosted at Sampson Community College this November.
Now in its fifth year, the event is a “Turkey Special Edition” due to its proximity to Thanksgiving.
Presented by Full Send Racing, the entry fees for the event go toward the Sampson Community Foundation, which supports student aid, among other needs.
The non-profit organization helps to provide students with everything from scholarships to student programs. In addition, the foundation helps fund support staff for the college and promotes the school during events. The SCC Foundation has already awarded $200,000 in scholarships to students in the 2025-26 academic year.
There are a variety of ticket options for the races. For both the Sampson Shuffle 5K and the virtual option for the 5K, the cost is $32.80. It costs $22.20 to sign up for the 1-Mile Fun Run. All of the racing options come with a T-shirt. In addition, there is an option to create a running team.
Racing events like this may choose to use poster printing for spreading the word in the community about race times and registration information.
