Grand Rapids kayak adventure explores Mississippi River
The Forest History Center in Grand Rapids will hold the Mississippi River Tandem Kayak Adventure for anyone interested in exploring the history of the Mighty Mississippi River.
As a part of the Minnesota Historical Society’s network of museums and historic sites, the Forest History Center is an environmental learning center that educates the public about the surrounding forests, forest conservation, and the logging industry. The center sits on wooded acreage that adjoins the Mississippi River and focuses on the past and present roles that the river has played in the area.
The Mississippi River kayak adventure will invite guests to experience a paddle adventure with the Forest Center Staff, who will lead a nature and history exploration of the river. Attendees will man tandem kayaks, which are kayaks that hold two adults or one adult and one or two children. The tour will include observing local wildlife and learning about the impact the Mississippi River has had on the Grand Rapids landscape and history.
Organizers of outdoor activities like this may be interested in including detailed brochures of their activity to hand out to interested individuals. These brochures can be printed affordably in bulk at many local print shops offering brochure printing services.
The Grand Rapids tandem kayak adventure is slated for August 1 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. The starting location is 2609 County Road 76.
