This April, the Itasca County Family Y in Grand Rapids will hold the Splash into Easter event, a special Easter egg hunt for the whole family.
The Itasca County Family Y is a nonprofit organization that serves as a community fitness center with youth programs, childcare, basketball and racquetball, and a swimming pool. Membership is typically required to use the facilities, with sliding scale fees available to those who need it. Being a community-oriented facility, the Y will also host special events and activities for holidays like this one.
The activity will invite families to participate in a special Easter egg hunt taking place in the water of the swimming pool. There will be both floating and sunken eggs to trade for goodie Bags. Children aged 7 and younger must have a parent or guardian in the pool with them, while those from 8 to 10 must have a guardian on the pool deck or, if a non-swimmer, also in the water with them.
