Giving circle supports Grand Rapids nonprofits

A local giving-circle event will bring women from across the Grand Rapids area together this October.

Hosted by 100+ Women Who Care – Itasca Area, the event offers participants a simple way to make a larger combined contribution to a local nonprofit.

Each attendee contributes as part of the group, with the pooled funds directed to one selected organization. Rather than focusing on one person’s donation, the event shows how many smaller gifts can add up to meaningful financial support for programs and services in the Itasca area.

Guests will hear from local nonprofit representatives before choosing the recipient of the collective donation. Previous gatherings have drawn more than 100 women and raised at least $10,000 for a local organization in a single evening. This format gives participants the opportunity to learn about local needs while helping fund work that benefits the community.
Sponsors and in-kind supporters help cover the cost of holding the event, which allows more participant donations to go directly to the chosen nonprofit.

Flyer printing may also be used at events like this to outline the program, acknowledge contributors, and explain how the giving-circle process works.

The 100+ Women Who Care – Itasca Area event will be held on Monday, October 12 at Timberlake Lodge Hotel in Grand Rapids. The gathering will run for approximately one hour. More information is available on the organization’s official Facebook page.
